Every card is dealt face-up before you start, so you can plan the whole board. Simple, single-deck fun with a 99% win rate. Indefatigable Game Layout

Indefatigable Solitaire is Royal Family Solitaire with the foundations flipped: instead of building down from the King, you build up from the Ace. Every card is dealt out at the start, so there's no stock and nothing left to redeal. With the whole deck visible from the first move, you can plan your way through instead of hoping for a lucky draw.

I'm guessing it's named after Sir Edward Pellew's famed heavy frigate, the HMS Indefatigable. The game is quite simple, with a 99% chance of winning. It's played with a single deck, and your odds of victory are primarily determined by your skill.

Royal Family and Bisley Solitaire share this same-suit, up-or-down style of tableau, while Cruel Solitaire uses the same same-suit building but only downward, so give them a try if you enjoy Indefatigable.

How to play Indefatigable Solitaire

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit. An ace is dealt to each pile at the start of the game.

12 tableau piles: Build up or down by suit. The top card is free to play onto the foundations or another tableau pile, but only one card moves at a time. Any card can fill an empty pile. Each pile starts with four cards, all dealt face-up.

No stock: All 52 cards are dealt out at the start. There's nothing left in reserve and no redeal.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Each foundation pile is handed an ace at the start.

A card can be added to a foundation pile if it's one rank higher than the pile's top card and of the same suit. So the only card that can go on a Q of spades is the K of spades.

The top card of a foundation pile can move back into play if another pile will take it.

Tableau:

Twelve tableau piles of four cards each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile if it's one rank higher or lower than the pile's top card and of the same suit. So the cards that can go on the 4 of clubs are the 3 of clubs or the 5 of clubs.

Any card not covered by another is free to play onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty tableau pile.
