How to play Patient Pairs

Layout:

13 tableau piles: 13 tableau pile Drop one card onto the other to discard pairs of cards of the same rank. Each pile's top card is accessible. At the start of the game, each pile is given four cards.

Tableau:

Splayed downhill, thirteen tableau piles of four cards each. Every card is dealt face-up.

On the tableau, no construction is authorized.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are playable.

The tableau's empty spaces may not be filled.
