This is Thomas Warfield's simple two-deck mashup of Spider and Klondike.

Note that AisleRiot uses the name "Lady Jane" for a completely different game.

It's simple, with a >99% chance of winning. Played with two decks, your odds of victory here mostly come down to skill.

Lady Jane runs faster and looser than the classic Solitaire, which rewards a slower, more careful game.

How to play Lady Jane Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

10 tableau piles: Build down regardless of suit. Sequences of cards in the same suit can be moved as a group. Any card can fill an empty pile. At the start, one card is dealt face-up to the first pile, two to the second, and so on.

Stock: Click to deal three cards at a time to the waste. Two passes through the stock are allowed.

Waste: The top card is always available for play on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are eight foundation piles.

Any ace may be moved to any empty foundation pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 9 of spades is a 10 of spades. Each pile holds up to 13 cards.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Ten tableau piles, with one card in the first pile, two in the second, three in the third, and so on. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower than the pile's current top card, regardless of suit, so the card that fits on a four is a three of any suit.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty tableau pile.

If all the cards in a sequence are the same suit, you can move the whole group from one tableau pile to another.

Stock and waste:

There's one waste pile; the rest of the cards form the stock.

Clicking the stock deals three cards to the waste. Two passes through the stock are allowed. If there aren't enough cards left for a full deal at the end of a pass, whatever remains gets dealt. On another pass, the waste is turned back into fresh stock before the next deal.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
