It's medium in difficulty, with a 20% chance of winning, and your odds come down mostly to skill.

How to play Doublet Cell Solitaire

Layout:

4 cells: Each cell holds one card. A card can be paired off with another card of the same rank and color, whether it's sitting in a cell or on the tableau.

8 tableau piles: Clear pairs of matching rank and color straight off the tableau. Cards can also be tucked into an empty cell. Once a tableau spot is empty, it stays empty. To start, the four piles on the left get seven cards each, and the remaining four piles get six cards each, all dealt face up.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles where matched pairs go once you clear them.

Cells:

Four cells, all empty at the start.

Each cell holds one card at a time. Any available card can go into an open cell, and cards can be played back to the tableau from a cell.

Tableau:

There are eight tableau piles, with the first four holding seven cards each and the next four holding six cards each. Every card is dealt face up.

You can't build sequences on the tableau; it's strictly for pairing off matches.

Any card that isn't covered by another card is available to play.

Once a tableau spot is emptied, nothing can fill it back in.
