How to play Beehive Solitaire

Foundation:

There are thirteen foundation piles.

Each rank, from Ace to King, has its own foundation pile. Cards are played up one at a time as they become available, and a pile is complete once it holds all four cards of its rank.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Reserve:

There is just one reserve, which starts with 10 cards. The top card in the pile is dealt face-up, while the rest are dealt face-down. No card may be moved into the reserve. The reserve's top card can only be played to the tableau.

Tableau:

Six tableau piles, each with one card, are fanned downward. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's the same rank as the pile's current top card, regardless of suit, so the only card that fits on a 10 is another 10.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

Cards of the same rank can be moved together from one tableau pile to another.

Stock and waste:

There is one waste pile, and the rest of the deck is the stock.

Clicking the stock deals three cards to the waste at a time. The stock can be passed through an unlimited number of times — if there aren't enough cards left for a full pass, you just get what's left. Before the next pass, the waste is turned back into the stock.

The top waste card is now available for tableau play.
