Move any face-up card with everything stacked on it, Yukon-style, while a Klondike stock trickles in one card at a time: only a minority beat this tough hybrid.

Australian Patience, sometimes listed as Outback Patience, is best described as Yukon crossed with Klondike. The tableau is built down in suit, any face-up card can be picked up together with everything sitting on top of it — in order or not — and a Klondike-style stock feeds fresh cards into play one at a time.
All 28 tableau cards are dealt face-up, so the entire layout is open from the first move, but you only get a single pass through the stock, and an empty column can only be restarted with a King. Deciding when to dig for a buried card and when to save a space for the right King is where games are won and lost.
The game is difficult, and only a minority of deals end in victory. Played with a single deck, the result here rides on both skill and luck.
The move-anything freedom is the draw here, and you'll find more of it in Yukon Solitaire and Scorpion Solitaire.
For the same stacking basics without the hybrid twist, classic Solitaire is the simpler place to start.

4 foundation piles: Build up in suit from Ace to King.
7 tableau piles: Four cards each, all dealt face-up. Build down in the same suit. Any face-up card may be moved together with every card on top of it, in sequence or not. Only Kings may fill empty spaces.
Stock: Click to flip over cards one at a time to the waste. There are no redeals.
Waste: The top card is playable.
There are four foundation piles.
Any Ace may be moved to an empty foundation pile. A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on an 8 of spades is a 9 of spades. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.
The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.
Seven tableau piles of four cards each, all dealt face-up.
A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on an 8 of spades is a 7 of spades.
Any face-up card may be picked up together with all the cards resting on top of it, whether or not they form a sequence; only the bottom card of the moved group has to fit the pile it lands on.
Empty tableau spots may only be filled with a King or a group of cards headed by a King.
There is one waste pile, and the remaining 24 cards make up the stock.
When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the waste. You get a single pass through the stock — there are no redeals.
The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
