Preference is a free online game. A game with a lot of features and amazing gameplay.

Fortune's Favor is a somewhat more difficult variant of Fortune's Favor with fewer tableau piles. The game is simple, with an 80% chance of winning. It is played with a single deck, and your odds of victory are mainly determined by chance.

The game is comparable to others such as Fortune's Favor and The Bold.

How to play Preference

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit. The Aces are dealt at the start of the game.

8 tableau piles: Build down in the same suit with 8 tableau piles. Each pile's top card is ready for play. Spaces are automatically filled from garbage or stock. At the start of the game, each pile is dealt one card face-up.

Stock: Deal 1 card to the garbage at a time by clicking. There are no redeals.

Waste: The top card can be played on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Each foundation pile is handed an ace at the start.

A card may be added to a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 5 of spades is a 6 of spades.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

Splayed downhill, eight tableau piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower and of the same suit as the original top card of the pile. As a result, the only card that could be played on a 6 of hearts is a 5 of hearts.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Empty tableau slots are immediately filled with a card from the discard pile. If the waste is empty, a card from the stock is placed in it. If the stock is empty, any card may be used to fill the tableau's empty places.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

Stock and waste:

There is one garbage pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.

When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the garbage. There can only be one trip through the stock.

The top card of the trash can be played to the tableau or foundation.
