Wading Pool eases Wave Motion's rules: reserve piles let you build one card at a time instead of none. Easy, single deck, and one of the site's friendliest win rates: 95%.

Wading Pool Solitaire is a simpler take on Wave Motion Solitaire: its reserve piles allow building, one card at a time, where Wave Motion's reserve allows none at all. It's an easy game, with a 95% chance of winning, played with a single deck, and skill matters more than luck.
Where this one is forgiving and slow, Solitaire puts the pressure back on.

8 reserve piles: Build down in suit, one card at a time; there's no moving cards as a group here. The top card of a reserve pile can move to the tableau or another reserve pile. At the start, the top four piles get seven cards each and the rest get six. An empty reserve spot can never be refilled.
There are eight reserve piles, the top four with seven cards each and the rest with six. Every card is dealt face-up.
A card can be placed on a reserve pile only if it's one rank lower and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 4 of diamonds is a 3 of diamonds.
Any reserve card not covered by another can move to a fitting reserve pile, or over to the tableau.
Empty reserve spots may not be filled, and only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 5 of clubs is a 4 of clubs.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau, and a same-suit run of cards in sequence can be moved together from one tableau pile to another.
