Thomas Warfield's three-deck version of Easthaven, scaling the whole game up to twelve foundations and twelve tableau piles. Dealing three decks into twelve foundations keeps this one simple: expect a 90% win rate, with skill mattering far more than luck.

It plays much like the original Easthaven Solitaire and the two-deck Double Easthaven Solitaire, just bigger.

The original Solitaire is the classic single-deck game this one grew from, and still a fine place to start.

How to play Triple Easthaven Solitaire

Layout:

12 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

12 tableau piles: Build down in alternating colors. A run of cards already in order can be moved as a group, and any card can fill an empty space. At the start of the game, each pile gets three cards: two face-down and one face-up.

Stock: Click the stock to deal one card onto each tableau pile. There's only one pass through the stock and no redeal.

Foundation:

There are twelve foundation piles.

Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 9 of hearts is a 10 of hearts. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Twelve tableau piles of three cards each. The top card in each pile is dealt face-up, while the remaining cards are dealt face-down.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on a 6 of hearts are the 5 of spades and 5 of clubs.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

If the cards are alternately red and black, groups of cards in succession from high to low can be shifted from one tableau column to another.

Stock:

The stock is made up of leftover cards.

When you click on the stock, a card is dealt to the top of each tableau pile. There's only one pass through the stock, so make it count.
