How to play Queenie

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

7 tableau piles: Alternate color build down. Cards in groups can be moved regardless of their order. Fill in the blanks with Kings or a group of cards led by a King. To begin the game, one card is dealt face-up to the first pile, two cards to the second pile, and so on.

Stock: By clicking, deal one card to each tableau pile. There are no redeals.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.

A card may be added to a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a 7 of diamonds is an 8 of diamonds.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

There are seven tableau piles, with one card in the first, two in the second, three in the third, and so on. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower than the pile's previous top card and is of the opposing color. As a result, the cards that might be played on the J of spades are 10 of hearts or 10 of diamonds.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Only kings may fill empty spots in the tableau.

Furthermore, any face-up card in the tableau may be transferred to another tableau column where it fits, bringing all cards on top of it with it.

Stock:

The stock is made up of leftover cards.

When you click on the stock, a card is dealt to the top of each tableau pile.
