How to play Double Scorpion

Layout:

10 tableau piles: Build down in suit. Cards in groups can be moved regardless of their order. Fill in the blanks with Kings or groupings of cards led by a King. At the start of the game, each of the top four piles receives 11 cards, while the remaining piles receive 10 cards apiece. Four cards are face-down in the first five piles, while the rest are face-up.

Foundation:

There are eight off-screen foundation piles.

Single cards are never allowed to be moved to the foundation. Only once you've built a complete sequence on the tableau, thirteen cards in order from ace to king, can you transfer it to the foundation.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

Ten tableau piles of cards, as shown below, where "D" represents a face-down card and "U" represents a face-up card:

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower and of the same suit as the original top card of the pile. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 9 of spades is an 8 of spades.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto any other tableau pile.

Only kings may fill empty spots in the tableau.

Furthermore, any face-up card in the tableau may be transferred to another tableau column where it fits, bringing all cards on top of it with it.

Notes:

The goal of the game is to divide the tableau into eight piles, one for each suit, with the cards arranged in sequence from King to Ace.
