Chinese Klondike Solitaire turns standard Klondike into a three-suit game. You play with four full decks with every club pulled out, so only hearts, spades, and diamonds are on the table, spread across a much bigger board than the original. It has a 90% chance of winning, with skill and a bit of luck both deciding the outcome.

How to play Chinese Klondike Solitaire

Layout:

16 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in suit.

12 tableau piles: Build down in any suit but the one on top. Move a group of cards together only when it's an unbroken sequence that alternates color card by card. Empty piles may only be filled with a King, alone or leading such a sequence. To start, one card is dealt to the first pile, two to the second, and so on, with only the top card of each pile face up.

Stock: Click to flip 3 cards at a time to the waste. Redeals are unlimited.

Waste: Top card is available for play on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are 16 foundation piles.

Any ace may be placed on any empty foundation pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 10 of hearts is the jack of hearts. A pile can hold no more than 13 cards.

The top card of each foundation pile can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

There are 12 tableau piles, with one card in the first pile, two in the second, three in the third, and so on. The top card of each pile is dealt face up; the rest are face down.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and a different suit than the pile's current top card, so the cards that fit on a 6 of diamonds are the 5 of spades or the 5 of hearts.

Any tableau card not covered by another card is free to play onto the foundation or another tableau pile.

Only kings may fill an empty tableau spot.

A group of cards may move together from one tableau pile to another only if it forms an unbroken sequence with no two consecutive cards the same color.

Stock and waste:

There's one waste pile; the rest of the deck makes up the stock.

Clicking the stock deals 3 cards to the waste. You can go through the stock as many times as you like; if fewer than 3 cards remain at the end of a pass, those are dealt instead. Before the next pass begins, the waste is turned back into the stock.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
