Take Diplomat and add two extra redeals: build eight any-suit tableaus across two decks and coast to a 95% win rate. Rows of Four Game Layout

Rows of Four Solitaire takes Diplomat Solitaire and loosens it up a little: the same eight foundations and eight four-card tableau piles built down regardless of suit, but with two redeals instead of none. Those extra passes through the stock make for an easy game, with a 95% chance of winning. It's played with two decks, and while luck plays a part, a bit of care goes a long way.

It sits close to Zerline Solitaire, another two-deck game built on the same any-suit tableau, though Zerline swaps in a reserve pile and a stricter foundation rule.

How to play Rows of Four Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Aces to Kings in the same suit.

8 tableau piles: Build down regardless of suit. Only one card can be moved at a time. Any card can fill an empty spot. At the start of the game, each pile is dealt four cards face-up.

Stock: Click to turn over 1 card at a time to the waste. There are two redeals.

Waste: Top card is available for play on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are eight foundation piles.

Any ace on a foundation may be moved to fill an empty tableau pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 5 of diamonds is a 6 of diamonds. No pile can hold more than 13 cards.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

The tableau has eight piles of four cards each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower than the pile's current top card, regardless of suit, so the only card that fits on a five is a four of any suit.

Any tableau card not covered by another card can be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card may fill an empty tableau spot, including a card taken from another tableau pile.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences aren't allowed.

Stock and waste:

There is one waste pile, and the remaining cards make up the stock.

Click the stock to deal one card to the waste. You get two redeals, for three passes through the stock in total.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
