Thirty-two decks, 1,664 cards, 128 foundations, and 52 tableau columns: Insane Klondike is standard rules stretched to a marathon you can win. Insane Klondike Game Layout

Insane Klondike Solitaire earns its name. It is Klondike stretched to an almost absurd scale — thirty-two full decks, 1,664 cards, one hundred and twenty-eight foundations and fifty-two tableau columns spread across the table. Every rule is standard Klondike; the only thing that has changed is the sheer size of the board, which turns a quick single-deck game into a marathon.

At this scale the challenge is stamina and organization, not difficulty. With fifty-two columns and unlimited redeals there is almost always a legal move somewhere, so the real risk is losing track. Clear the face-down cards methodically, keep empty columns free for maneuvering Kings, and hold cards back from the foundations until you are sure you will not need them to build a tableau run.

The game is easy in principle but long in practice: with thirty-two decks and endless redeals, almost every deal can be won by a player with the patience to see it through. Victory depends far more on persistence and careful bookkeeping than on luck.

Insane Klondike is the largest member of the multi-deck Klondike family. For a gentler climb toward it, try Octuple Klondike Solitaire or Quadruple Klondike Solitaire, which follow the same rules with fewer decks.

For a change of pace, Solitaire is the same game at its original, single-deck size.

How to play Insane Klondike Solitaire

Layout:

128 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit — four foundations for each of the thirty-two decks.

52 tableau piles: Alternate-color build down. Only a King, or a valid King-led sequence, may fill an empty column. At the start one card is dealt to the first pile, two to the second, and so on up to fifty-two cards in the last pile; only the top card of each pile is face-up.

Stock: Click to deal three cards at a time to the waste. Redeals are unlimited.

Waste: The top card is always available for play on the foundations or the tableau.

Foundation:

There are one hundred and twenty-eight foundation piles, all starting empty.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a Q of hearts is a K of hearts.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

There are fifty-two tableau piles, dealt as a staircase — one card in the first, two in the second, and so on. The top card of each pile is face-up and the rest are face-down.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on a 6 of clubs are the 5 of hearts and the 5 of diamonds.

Runs already in alternating-color order may be moved together between columns, and any card not covered by another is free to move onto the foundations or another tableau pile.

Only a King may fill an empty column.

Stock and waste:

The cards left after the deal form the stock, with one waste pile beside it.

Each click deals three cards from the stock to the waste, and the stock may be recycled without limit. The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or a foundation.
