Eight columns start with just one card each: build up by rank regardless of suit, using every empty column you open to dig out what's buried. Single deck, brutal 5% win rate. Bunker Game Layout

Bunker Solitaire deals eight tableau piles of one card each and asks you to build every pile up in rank, any suit, using the empty columns you open along the way to dig out buried cards. It's a tough game, with only about a 5% chance of winning, played with a single deck, and skill decides most games.

If you like Bunker, Trusty Twelve Solitaire, Sweet Sixteen, Knotty Nines, and Up and Up Solitaire all share its build-up-regardless-of-suit style.

How to play Bunker Solitaire

Layout:

8 tableau piles: Build up regardless of suit. You move cards one at a time, though supermoves let you shift a whole run using empty columns. Any card can fill an empty space. Each pile starts with one card.

Stock: Click to deal 1 card at a time to the waste. There are no redeals.

Waste: Top card available for play from waste.

Tableau:

Eight tableau piles of one card each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank higher than the pile's current top card, regardless of suit, so the only card that fits on a 7 is an 8.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

Officially only one card moves at a time, but supermoves let you drag a whole run at once whenever you have enough empty columns to do it one card at a time anyway.

Stock and waste:

There's one waste pile, and the remaining cards make up the stock.

Clicking the stock deals one card to the waste. You get only one pass through the stock.

The top waste card is now accessible for tableau play.

Notes:

The goal is to work every card out of the stock and waste and onto the tableau, using the empty columns you create to free up more buried cards. You win once the stock and waste are both empty.
