A two-deck twist on Interchange that swaps suited runs for alternating colors across a face-down-striped 7x7 tableau. Brutal: just a 1% win rate.

A variant of Interchange Solitaire that keeps the same 7-by-7 tableau with every other card dealt face-down, but switches the building rule to alternating colors instead of matching suit.
Pretty Good Solitaire treats "Alternation" and "Alternations" as two different games, but most other sources use both names for this one. It's brutally difficult, with just a 1% chance of winning. You play it with two decks, and your odds come down to both skill and luck.

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.
7 tableau piles: Alternate color build down. If groups of cards are in sequence, move them down by alternate color. Fill in the blanks with any card. At the start of the game, 7 cards are dealt to each pile, with even-numbered cards face-down and odd-numbered cards face-up.
Stock: By clicking, flip over cards one at a time to the waste. There are no redeals.
Waste: Always have the top card available for play on the foundations or tableau.
There are eight foundation piles, empty at the start.
Any ace can move to any vacant foundation pile.
A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on an 8 of clubs is a 9 of clubs. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.
The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.
Seven tableau piles of seven cards each. The even-numbered cards in each pile are dealt face-down, while the odd-numbered cards are dealt face-up.
A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the opposite color of the pile's current top card, so the only cards that fit on a 9 of diamonds are the 8 of spades and 8 of clubs.
Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.
Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.
If the cards are alternately red and black, groups of cards in succession from high to low can be shifted from one tableau column to another.
There is one waste pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.
When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the waste. You get a single pass through the stock — there are no redeals.
The top waste card can be played to the tableau or foundation.
