Odessa Solitaire borrows its layout and its loose stack moves from Yukon, but tightens the building rule: instead of Yukon's alternating colors, every tableau sequence here has to stay in one suit. You can still drag any face-up card, along with everything stacked on top of it, onto a legal target regardless of what order that stack is in — Yukon's signature move, kept intact.

How to play Odessa Solitaire

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 9 of diamonds is a 10 of diamonds.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

There are seven tableau piles. Columns 1 and 7 each start with three face-down cards topped by three face-up cards; columns 2 through 6 each start with three face-down cards topped by five face-up cards.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on an 8 of clubs is a 7 of clubs.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Only kings may fill empty spots in the tableau.

Furthermore, any face-up card in the tableau may be transferred to another tableau column where it fits, bringing all cards on top of it with it.
