How to play Demon Fan

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Built up in suit from Ace to King.

18 fans: Alternate color construction. Only one card can be moved at a time. There are no empty spaces. At the start of the game, each pile is given three cards. Only the top card is showing.

Stock: Stock. There are six redeals available. Redeal by clicking on the green arrow once all feasible plays have been made.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.

A card may be added to a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a Q of spades is a K of spades.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

There are eighteen tableau piles of cards, with the first sixteen each having three cards and the following two each having two cards. The top card in each pile is dealt face-up, while the remaining cards are dealt face-down.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower than the pile's previous top card and is of the opposing color. As a result, the cards that may be played on the 8 of diamonds would be the 7 of spades or the 7 of clubs.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto the foundation or any non-empty tableau pile.

The tableau's empty spaces may not be filled.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.
