How to play Bisley

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Construct the left column in the same suit beginning with Aces and the right column in the same suit beginning with Kings. It makes no difference where two piles of the same suit meet. An Ace of each suit is dealt to the left column at the start of the game.

12 tableau piles: 12 tableau piles that may be built up or down by suit. Only one card can be moved at a time. There are no empty spaces. At the start of the game, each pile is given four cards face-up.

Foundation:

Foundation piles are classified into two types.

Fundament A:

Foundation A has four piles, and each foundation is given an ace at the start. A pile. A card can be layered on top of a foundation. A pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and of the same suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a J of diamonds is a Q of diamonds.

B Foundation:

Foundation B has four piles, and any king can be transferred to any vacant pile in foundation B. A card may be added to a foundation B pile if it is one lower than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a J of hearts is a 10 of hearts.

Cards cannot be removed from any foundation once they have been placed on it.

Tableau:

Splayed downward tableau piles of four cards each. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one higher or one lower than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the cards that might be played on the 7 of clubs are 6 of clubs or 8 of clubs.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto the foundation or any non-empty tableau pile.

The tableau's empty spaces may not be filled.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

Stock and waste:

There is one garbage pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.

When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the garbage. There can only be one trip through the stock.

The top waste card can be played to any non-empty tableau pile or foundation.
