How to play Perseverance A Solitaire

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Each foundation pile starts with an ace.

A card can be added to a foundation pile if it's one rank higher than the pile's top card and the same suit, so the only card that can land on a jack of clubs is the queen of clubs.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Twelve tableau piles of four cards each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile if it's one rank lower and the same suit as the pile's top card, so the only card that can land on a 7 of spades is the 6 of spades.

Any uncovered tableau card is free to move to the foundation or another tableau pile.

The tableau's empty spaces may not be filled.

You can move a whole group of same-suit cards in sequence from one tableau pile to another.
