Lady Palk Solitaire plays like Diplomat Solitaire, but lets you move whole sequences and only Kings can fill an empty pile.

Also known as "Avenue," it's medium in difficulty, with a 30% chance of winning. Played with two decks, your odds mostly come down to skill.

How to play Lady Palk Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

8 tableau piles: Build down regardless of suit. Sequences of cards can be moved as a group, regardless of suit. Only Kings, or a valid sequence led by a King, can fill an empty pile. At the start, each pile is dealt four cards face-up.

Stock: Click to deal one card at a time to the waste. There are no redeals.

Waste: The top card can be played on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

There are eight foundation piles.

Any ace may be moved to any empty foundation pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 7 of clubs is an 8 of clubs. Each pile holds up to 13 cards.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

Eight tableau piles of four cards each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower than the pile's current top card, regardless of suit, so the card that fits on a nine is an eight of any suit.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Only Kings may fill an empty tableau pile.

Sequences of cards in order from high to low can be moved from one tableau pile to another, regardless of suit.

Stock and waste:

There's one waste pile; the rest of the cards form the stock.

Clicking the stock deals one card to the waste. There's only one pass through the stock.

The top card of the waste can be played to the tableau or foundation.
