Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.
A card may be added to a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a Q of hearts is a K of hearts.
Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

A card may be added to a fan-pile if it is one lower than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a Q of spades is a J of spades.
Cards on the fan that are not covered by another card can be played onto the foundation, an empty cell, or any other fan pile.
Only kings may fill empty places in the fan.
Two cells, all of which are originally empty
One card can be stored in each cell. Any available card can be played into any available cell. Cell cards can be returned to the fan or the foundation.
