The tableau's six piles of six cards are called "flower beds," and you build down on them in any suit, mixing hearts with clubs however you like. There's no stock here. Instead, a 16-card "bouquet" sits fanned out at the side, every card visible and playable at once.

Mixing suits freely on the flower beds keeps this one at medium difficulty, and about 25% of games end in a win. It's a single deck; skill decides most of that outcome, plainly put.

How to play Flower Garden Solitaire

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

6 "Flower Bed" tableau piles: Build down regardless of suit. Only one card moves at a time. Any card fills an empty space. Each pile starts with 6 face-up cards.

Reserve "Bouquet": All 16 remaining cards are dealt face-up here, ready to play on the foundations or tableau at any time.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles. Any ace may be moved to an empty pile.

A card can be added to a foundation pile only if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the pile's current top card, so the only card that fits on a 7 of clubs is an 8 of clubs.

The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.

Tableau:

There are six "Flower Bed" tableau piles of six cards each, all dealt face-up.

A card can be added to a tableau pile only if it's one rank lower than the pile's current top card, regardless of suit, so any 8 fits under any 9 no matter its suit.

Cards not covered by another card are free to play onto the foundations or another tableau pile. Only one card moves at a time, and any card can fill an empty spot.

Bouquet:

The Bouquet holds the 16 leftover cards, all face-up and playable at once, not just the top one.

To play a card from inside the stack, drag it to the bottom first, then on to a foundation or tableau pile.
