Tableau:

Splayed downhill, nine tableau piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face up.

A card from the garbage or other tableau piles may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower and of the opposite color as the original top card of the pile. As a result, the only card that might be played on a J of spades is a 10 of hearts. The reserve cards may not be transferred to the tableau.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Empty tableau spots are immediately filled with a card from the stock. If the stock is empty, a card from the garbage is used to replenish it. If the trash is empty, any card from the waste or other tableau piles may be used to fill any empty places in the tableau. They are not permitted to be submitted from the reserve.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.
