Four foundations climb from ace to king in any suit, fed by tiny reserve piles dealt from the stock just once, no redeals. Odds sit at an even 50%.

Michael Keller designed Acquaintance Solitaire as his own take on Auld Lang Syne Solitaire. You build up in any suit across four foundations, each fed by a small reserve pile that deals out from the stock just once, with no redeals. It's medium in difficulty, with a 50% chance of winning, and your odds come down to a mix of skill and luck.
Acquaintance belongs to a big family of similar games: Acquaintance One, Sir Tommy, Lady Betty, Tam O'Shanter, Quadrennial Solitaire, Mutual Acquaintance, River Doon, Old Fashioned, and Antique among them.

There are four foundation piles.
Each one is dealt an ace to start.
If a card is one rank higher than the pile's current top card, it can be added regardless of suit, so the only card that fits on a 7 is an 8. Each pile caps out at 13 cards.
The top card of each foundation can be moved back into play if another pile will accept it.
There are four reserve piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face-up.
You can't place cards onto a reserve pile.
