How to play Ukrainian

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

Single cards are never allowed to be moved to the foundation. Only once you've built a complete sequence on the tableau, thirteen cards in order from ace to king, can you transfer it to the foundation.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

Seven tableau piles of cards are stacked as follows, where "D" represents a face-down card and "U" represents a face-up card:

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower and of the same suit as the original top card of the pile. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 9 of spades is an 8 of spades. In the tableau, you may also play kings on aces.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto any other tableau pile.

Only kings may fill empty spots in the tableau.

Furthermore, any face-up card in the tableau may be transferred to another tableau column where it fits, bringing all cards on top of it with it.
