There are two Klondike versions, both of which have been dubbed "Agnes." To separate them, David Parlett gave them last names. They were all named after royal mistresses. Normally, this version is almost hard to win, but I've made it more playable by allowing cards to be played into empty tableau piles. The game is extremely difficult, with a 1% chance of winning. It is played with a single deck, and your odds of victory are mainly determined by chance.

Agnes Bernauer and Agnes Three are two solitaire games that are comparable to this one.

Stock: Stock By clicking, you can add one card to each tableau pile. There are no redeals.

Foundation:

There are four foundation piles.

A foundation pile will be given a card at random. This is the starting card. Begin the remainder of the piles with cards of the same rank.

A card may be added to a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 9 of spades is a 10 of spades.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

There are seven tableau piles, with one card in the first, two in the second, three in the third, and so on. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower and of the same color as the original top card of the pile. As a result, the cards that might be played on the Q of hearts are J of hearts or J of diamonds.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

If all cards are of the same color, groups of cards in succession from high to low can be transferred from one tableau column to another.

Stock:

The stock is made up of leftover cards.

When you click on the stock, a card is dealt to the top of each tableau pile.
