How to play Mamy Susan Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

10 tableau piles: Alternate color construction. Only one card can be moved at a time. Any card can be used to fill a space. At the start of the game, each pile is given four cards face-up.

Stock: Click to turn over 1 card at a time to the garbage. There are no redeals.

Waste: The top card can be played on the foundations or tableau.

Reserve: The top card can only be played to the foundations. This pile gets given 5 cards at the start of the game

Foundation:

There are eight foundation piles.

Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.

A card may be added to a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of the same suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a 10 of hearts is a J of hearts. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Reserve:

There is one reserve deck, which originally contains five cards. The top card in the pile is dealt face-up, while the remaining cards are dealt face-down. There are no cards that may be moved into the reserve. The reserve's top card might be played to the tableau or the foundation.

Tableau:

Splayed downhill, ten tableau piles of four cards each. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one lower than the pile's previous top card and is of the opposing color. As a result, the cards that may be played on the 8 of clubs would be the 7 of hearts or the 7 of diamonds.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card are free to be played onto the foundation or any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

Stock and waste:

There is one garbage pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.

When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the garbage. There can only be one trip through the stock.

The top card of the trash can be played to the tableau or foundation.
