How to play Auld Lang Syne Solitaire

Layout:

4 foundation piles: Build up in any suit from Ace to King. The Aces are dealt on this pile at the start of the game.

4 reserve piles: Cards from the stock are dealt here. Each pile's top card is ready for play. Click to move cards to the foundations. At the start of the game, each pile is dealt one card.

Stock: Deal 1 card to each reserve pile by clicking on the stock. There are no redeals.

Foundation:

There is one foundation pile.

The foundation pile is dealt an ace at first.

If a card is one higher than the former top card of the pile and of any suit, it may be added to the foundation pile. As a result, the only card that might be played on an 8 is a 9. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Reserve:

There are four reserve piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face-up.

Placing a card on the reserve pile is not permissible.

Cards on the reserve can be played on the foundation.

Empty reserve spots may not be filled.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

Stock:

The stock is made up of leftover cards.

When you click the stock, a card is dealt on top of each reserve pile.
